General Information

I never received my confirmation email after I registered

Make sure to check your spam folders. If still unsuccessful, send us an email at contactus@classnotes.com.au and we will make sure your problem is solved.

I cannot use my normal gmail/hotmail as my login username

Classnotes is currently restricted to University of Melbourne students. As such, we require a valid University of Melbourne email address to register for Classnotes.

Buyers

I purchased some notes but never received an email with the download link

Classnotes emails a link to your notes to your PayPal email address, not your University of Melbourne email address. Please check your PayPal email address. If you still can’t find the link, send us an email.

Can I purchase notes for specific weeks rather than a full semester?

At this point in time, Classnotes only offers downloads of full sets of lecture notes.

Sellers

Why can’t I set the price of my notes?

Classnotes sets the sale price in order to make notes uploaded to Classnotes quality competitive.

What format should the uploaded notes be?

Notes should be uploaded in Microsoft Word, PDF or Pages formats. The most important point is to take the time to create clear headings for each topic or week. The more attractive and organised your notes are, the higher the chance of someone purchasing them!

Payments

Is the payment system secure?

Classnotes operates using PayPal. PayPal is Australia’s favourite way to pay online. It’s a fast, easy and safe.
PayPal keeps your financial information safe when you buy online or on your mobile and uses 128-bit SSL Certified encryption technology.

When is payment for notes required?

Payment is required immediately upon purchase. A download link to the notes will be sent as soon as your payment is process (instantaneous with PayPal or credit card payments)

What percentage of sales proceeds goes to the seller?

Sellers receive 70% of each sale.

When is the seller paid?

The seller gets paid each fortnight via PayPal.

Privacy & Copyright

What happens if someone has uploaded copied notes?

Classnotes is wholly against the plagiarism of notes and breach of copyright law. If you believe there are notes already uploaded that are in breach of these terms, please bring it to our attention as soon as possible.

Consequences of Plagiarism & Copyright Infringement

Clear breaches of copyright and plagiarism will result in immediate removal of the notes from the website.
The Classnotes team retains the right to warn or ban the user from the website for a indefinite period of time.
